WORD'S HURT

Ana looked back wondering if it was Mope, her friend of ten years who just spoke. With her eyebrows raised Quizzically at her friend, she asked, "what do you mean?".
"I meant what I meant, Mope retorted. Ana don't you get it too? How can everyone be so clueless about this? Are you clueless too or are you just feigning ignorance with me now?" Ana stood frozen, too stunned to move, she couldn't even close her ajar mouth. "Whats up Mope? Were we not just here, playing and laughing together few seconds ago and just suddenly you start telling me about how words hurt? Ok, what exactly did I say that hurt you, tell me now so I can apologize, you know I can't stand you being all moody around me."

"No, not you dear. Just people. Everybody else but you. The other day I was at the library and here comes this lady who made an unpleasant comment about my choice of cloths. Another time, it was my neighbour comparing the flatness of my nose to that of pan cakes and yesterday, a classmate said..."
Don't we also face things like this? Think about it, how many times have you cried or felt very bad because of one unpleasant remark somebody made about you? Next time you receive an unpleasant remark, just briefly think about this, Is what the person said true? If it is, please adjust, quickly. But if its not, quickly brush it aside like that proverbial donkey(the one people threw inside a pit and poured sands on) and use it as a stepping stone to better things. For the main time, I think you have cried enough, you have felt bad enough. Or why will you keep meditating on an unpleasant word for days? How many scriptures have you meditated on this way?
Dearest reflection, you 've got to sit up, sit tight and sit straight.
Keep smiling because Jesus never stops loving you.
I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for. Jeremiah 29:11. TiToluwaNiMi.
