Hebrew 11 verse 24-26
“By faith Moses, when he was
come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing
rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures
of sin for a season.”
Moses was a man with dual
citizenship. By birth, he was Hebrew. But by adoption,
he was an Egyptian. Then
he had to make a decision, for making no decision meant he had accepted to be
an Egyptian prince. He was already an honoured being in Egypt. Everybody must
make a voluntary decision; you can decide to choose, and you can decide not to
choose. Moses chose to learn the enjoyment of the palace for the call to
leadership.
This message is for Christians that want
to be actively involved in God’s work and doings. And if you have made, or are
making that decision, you must know the gain. Our life here on earth is nothing
compared to our eternity. There is reward in eternity for everything man does
on earth.
Galatians 6:7 “Be not
deceived, God cannot be mocked; for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also
reaps.”
Living as a Christian is not always bread
and butter as many paint it to be. Sometimes, Christian living may involve
different kind of hardness. Christians are also prone to having more enemies.
This enemies are however not ours but of the person we follow (Jesus). Immediately you become a Christian, Satan
raises battalions after you.
AIM: ---To encourage you
to serve God. To keep on serving him, even in the face of challenges,
difficulties and persecutions.
Let us serve God with a truthful
heath, knowing and having it in our consciousness that someday we shall receive
our reward. 1 Tim 5:18. Ok, let me state here that Christian reward starts from
our life on earth. Whatsoever you give God, he will give you back. Col 3 verse
4. I am challenging us to release our spirit soul and body to serve God. When
we leave this world, the end comes immediately to our service. So, start now –
the time we have on earth is too short to spend it on unprofitable things.
Rewards will be in Heaven for
different services.
·
There will be rewards for our Prayer. There is reward for
intercessional prayers we pray for people. We can pray for minister of God, for
other saints, for our country etc.
·
There is reward for Almsgiving. When we give to the poor, the
needy, orphans, we sow into our eternity.
·
Rewards will be given to people who give to God’s
Ministers. Mark 9:41.
·
Loving your enemies attracts Reward. Matthew 5:43. So if you
follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and you love your
·
Reward for conquerors. Rev 2:11. You will not be a partaker
of the second death. Verses 17- the manner of heaven. A new name, a new cloth. Rev 3:5.
