PREACH FOR AM!

This evangelism matter na waya o. Na so I dey go on the street, I just dey jolly dey go, I even take swag add my walk. It pain me say you no see me that day. No be say I dey carnal o, na spiritual swag I dey take walk, that day I just dey comot from one strong three days prayer and fasting retreat, you know that kind swag? Na confidence, even if devil appear in person, I go cast am. Na sure thing.

As I dey walk dey go our house that day, I even add tongues join, the children for our street think say I dey rap ni, they no get am say na tongues, I dey super charged.
Na so I meet am. You dey wonder who I meet? Na Bishop o, the anointed. The same Bishop Clement wey dey in charge of the diocese wey me and my people dey attend before, the church we dey go

before Word take over.
"Preach to Him."
"Which kind instruction be this Holy Ghost?" na so I yarn back.
You surprise say I dey hear Holy Ghost voice? Na so God do am. I know say you no wan be my friend because I dey talk pigin so, the Holy Ghost na my personal person. Maybe you dey wonder say why Holy Spirit talk correct English, why He no speak pigin like I dey yarn since morning, na because He know say I understand correct English, I be OAU graduate, from the department of English sef. "Good afternoon Bishop Clement."
"Afternoon Evelyn, it's been a while."
"The Holy Spirit said I should give you this message. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, If you believe Him today, you won't perish but you will have eternal life. Jesus loves you, He cares so much about you. He wants to translate you from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of His dear Son. He wants to give you freedom, He wants to save you if only you will give him the chance. To be saved by Jesus is the best thing that can ever happen to any man, just believe Him in your heart and confess Him with your mouth."

Na ground I dey look since I start my talk, I no fit look him face. But by the time I raised my head, Bishop was in tears.
"Can Jesus save someone like me, you may not understand Evelyn."
"I don't need to understand anything Bishop, Jesus can save anyone."
"Kindly lead me to Him".

We seem to have an ideal picture of the kind of people that needs Jesus, people who smoke, drink, fornicate, rob, kill etc. And sometimes when we go for evangelism, we choose not to preach to some people because just by looking at them we think they don't need the salvation message, this is not always true. The Importance of the Holy Spirit in Evangelism cannot be over emphasized. He's the one who knows who needs to hear the gospel at that moment and who may not need to (because they are believers already). Title does not connote salvation, good works does not connote salvation, morality and religiosity do not, look or aura does not, only the Holy Spirit who knows the hearts of men can tell for sure the state of a man's heart. So next time you get the prompting to preach to someone who's mere presence gets you intimidated, you need not shy away. Just ask for the wisdom and the courage to do the needful, you might just be allowing God use you save someone from eternal damnation.
