Steve stood in front of his wardrobe staring at his collection of cloths once again.
"I just don't belong here", he said to himself. "How will I make it? How will I fit in? What will I wear tomorrow and then the next? Maybe I should just quit and go home now before it's too late".

Steve has been admitted into a Business School in Madrid, Spain on scholarship. He was from a poor family that stays in downtown Paris. Steve's very intelligent however, that's the main reason a wealthy member of their church decided his brain was too good to be allowed to waste away in the warehouse down the street where he's been working as a sales boy since he finished high school. Steve had been assigned by his boss to dispatch some goods at the man's house, he had gotten there before
discovering that the recipient of the goods he has brought for delivery was Mr Williamson, a member of their church. Mr Williamson had been very happy to see him that morning, he knew and liked Steve because Steve sings well in the choir and plays the organ too. Many of the composed songs the choir has ministered with in the church were written and composed by Steve and Mr Williamson has been looking for an opportunity to meet such a talent. He hasn't had a chance to invite him to his house for a tete-a-tete because of his busy schedule. Mr Williamson is an established Investment Capitalist. That day at Mr Williamson's house, as Steve performed his duty of delivering the electric gadgets and setting them up, Mr Williamson asked him questions. Steve was good, he had answers for almost every question, from academics to sports to economics and then politics. This made Mr Williamson ask about his future plans, he opened up that though he would have loved to further his education, his family has no money to sponsor him so he's just going to concentrate on his job and rise to the top of the ladder. Mr Williamson was amazed and at that moment he uttered the statement that altered the course of Steve's life, "I will sponsor you".
Fast Forward to now.
The man kept his promise, helped process Steve's admission to study Business Management at a prestigious university, paid his tuition, accommodation and other fees (he paid an accumulation of every fee from Steve's admission till graduation), he bought him books too and linked him up with a senior student studying the same course who could lend him books anytime. Lastly, he gave him a large sum for his upkeep. This money should have been used by steve to at least buy some fashionable cloths and other wears but he chose to give the sum to his mother who badly needed money to resuscitate her dying business and also to take care of his younger ones. Steve packed his old cloths and headed for school.

He looked odd from day one, it was as if he jumped out of a magazine from the 80s. His cloths were seriously out of place, his shoes gave the other students a good laugh everyday. Nobody wants to talk with him, no one wants to be seen with him. This has been going on for three weeks and it's like Steve is going crazy. How will he fit in here? School is hard enough without social unacceptance. Everybody's got something he does not have, does he have anything they do not have?
"Yes Steve, you 've got Me. I am your glory", the sweet voice said to him.
Steve smiled broadly and just then he knew he was going to wear the blue shirt tomorrow and the yellow one the next day, because his worth is not about his cloths, it's about who he carries on his inside. God is the author of glory and beauty. And it was as if God was out to prove just that the next day as he stepped out of his room and met the captain of the school's basketball team,
"You look amazing today Steve, where did you get that shirt from? " From that day on, the Lord clothed Him, even when he made enough money to change his wardrobe, he still enjoyed God's glory. He has not ceased to tell people about it.
Truly the Lord gives grace and glory. (PS 84:11)

Are you somewhere right now and you are finding it hard to fit in, maybe because of the material possessions of the people around you or the qualifications and the years of experience they carry, their ease of assimilation or their spiritual depth. Don't let the devil tell you you can't fit in, and even as you work on yourself to become better, don't allow the devil put or detain you in the prison of depression. Don't be ashamed of who you are and the little you have, be confident in your God and watch Him clothe you with His glory.
