MISSION TO MANDO - HE SLEEPS NOT (post 2)

The hotel they lodged into was one of the best in town, thanks to the huge financial assistance they got from the people of God back home in Nigeria. Despite the comfort of their rooms, they didn't lose sight of their reason for coming, they knew they were on a battle field.
The first delay they had was their inability to see the king within the first two days of their arrival and without the consent of the Ruler they can't hold any crusade, they can't even be allowed to speak freely with any of the townspeople. So, they spent these first two days in serious Bible study and Prayers. Who can stand against the Lord?
On the morn' of the third day, the team visited the palace again. They were told the King was still unconscious, and something else. The other priests and the attendants of the Chief priest had seen
signs and they'd divined that the god's had decided to prolong their sleep, they were going to sleep now for seven days. "The last time this happened was during my grandfather's lifetime", the guard who was speaking with the team lamented. Nobody would have really cared if the god had decided to sleep for twenty-one days but for the life of the great king in danger. "Why will the gods decide to sleep on now, when one of their own is struggling for his life?", the guard quizzed, "Who will help us? Who will save the Land?".
As the guard uttered the last question, something snapped in the heart of the team members, it was like a spark in their Spirit. Was that not what they had come to do? Was that not why they had left their families, loved ones and businesses in Nigeria?
Suddenly they knew they need not wait for the Chief Priest to wake up to treat the king. They knew what they had to do, and together they rose up, linked hands and right there in unequivocal terms they commanded life back into the dying King in Jesus' Name. When the palace guards understood what they were praying for, they came into the room one after the other with the other palace staff, and even though they couldn't pray, they bowed their heads and closed their eyes like they see the team members do.
It was a maid that first brought the good news followed by the Queen screaming with glee, The King was up! The gods were still sleeping but the king was up! That was how their evangelism started.
"We 've come to tell you about the God who does not sleep or slumber, in fact, He never takes a nap."
"ehn ehn, is their a deity like that?"
"He is not a deity, He is the creator of heaven, earth, mankind, animals, plants, all the things we can see and the things we can't see. And through sacrificing His Son, Jesus for the world, he procured salvation for all people".
The king watched them, amused.
"If there's a God like that, we Mando people will like to know more about Him. What shall we do to enjoy this salvation you talk about?".
After the King and his household surrendered to Jesus, many of the people also received Christ. They renounced Idolatry and pledged their allegiance to the one true God simply by confessing Jesus with their mouths and believing in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).
Well, the Chief Priest never woke up. He wouldn't even want to had he been given the chance, considering the fact that his only son became born again while he was still in his mysterious sleep. Who Can Stand Against The Lord?
One of the awesome wonders of the supernatural attributes of our God is that He never sleeps. Is that even conceivable? Is it imaginable? A being who never sleeps (who's always active and powerful, not limited to times and seasons) sounds weird to the natural mind. If you know this God that I'm talking about, it means He's always watching over you, He's always attentive to your cries and He's always watching out for you. He wont sleep on your life, no He wont! For He is faithful who has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."(Hebrews 13:5).
What's that issue bothering your heart? Put your mind at rest, Jesus is on top of the situation. He never sleeps, your life is definitely and absolutely safe with Him.
Psalms121:3-8.(MSG)
3-4He won't let you stumble, your Guardian God won't fall asleep. Not on your life! Israel's Guardian will never doze or sleep.
5-6God's your Guardian, right at your side to protect you—Shielding you from sunstroke, sheltering you from moonstroke.
7-8God guards you from every evil, he guards your very life. He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always.
NB- Whenever you are chanced to be a part of Missions, please don't shy away. We wont stop talking about Jesus until He comes back. Nations need the light.
