Concerning
the perceptions of healthcare chaplains’ involvement in hospital, the chaplain
involvement in organ procurement issues and clinical assistance can help to
ensure a holistic and ethically appropriate practice and suggested that the
chaplains could be better utilized in both organ procurement and training of
the clinicians.[3]

identified the four central roles of Imams in healthcare which are; encouraging
healthy behaviours through scripture-based messages in sermons, performing
religions rituals around life events and illness, advocating for Muslim
patients and delivering cultural sensitivity training in
hospitals and assisting healthcare decisions for Muslims.[5]
