HOW TO READ WHEN I FEEL SLEEPY; HOW TO READ WITHOUT SLEEPING OFF -WHAT CAN I DO WHEN I FEEL SLEEPY, AND I WANT TO READ? WHY DO I SLEEP OFF WHILE READING?



       Reading can really be a challenging thing for different categories of people. It could be very stressful and time consuming. Some people find it very difficult to read without sleeping off. Some others don’t want to read at all; they say reading is a gift.
WHY DO PEOPLE SLEEP OFF WHILE READING?

Reading involves constant movement from the eyes. This sense can get really tired of these movements that it may want to rest. But people watch movies and read subtitles for many hours and they don’t sleep off.... Yes, that is right; but reading does not just involve the eyes, it involves the brain; a constant flow of ideas, word meanings, denotations of different kinds and other strenuousinternal work. This is why some people find themselves comfortable to sleep when they read.
Anotherindispensiblefactor is that some people read not just in their room, but in their bed. This posture of reading may really make you to sleep off while reading.
An additional fact is that some people always want to read when they are tired. Things don’t work that way; you can’t read with fatigue, you will find it easier to sleep off than to stay awake.
But we must read;it is important.Almost all categories of our life now are based on reading. Are you a student? You have to read to pass exams. Are you a teacher or a lecturer? You have to read to teach your students.
How then can you read without sleeping off? Or how do you read when you feel sleepy??
       The first you have to know is that, in order to sustain a reading pattern, you have to remain active.
How then can you remain active? There are a number of things you can do to remain active.
1.   Making your leg active: Have you ever seen as sleeping walker? One way to make yourself active while reading is to walk around. When you keep walking, you will put your leg in its active mood, and by doing that, your whole body remains active.
2.   Do Exercise; If you are sitting and reading, and you feel sleepy, you can get up and do some exercise. Stretch your boneskeep the joints alive, keep your eyes open.
3.   Leave your comfort zone; as I have said earlier, if you feel sleepy, try as much as possible not to read in your room. Don’t put too much confidence;just go out to somewhere safe, but not a comfortable posture. Don’t recline when you want to read and you feel sleepy.
4.   Make your mouth active: Another part of your body you can make active to keep your eyes awake is your mouth. When you read, try out eating some things like snacks, chips, popcorn etc. keep the list light, don’t eat heavy thins that will make you weak.
5.   Don’t read after a heavy meal: Many people find it easy to sleep while reading because they read after taking a heavy meal. You have to understand that it takes body energy to digest food materials; don’t combine the process of digestion with reading.
6.   Make others keep you Active; it is often better to find a reading mate. If you sleep off while reading, then find someone to read with you. You can make your friends, family members, or even parents keep you active.
7.   Keep your throat active: after reading some pages of your book, make a loud brassy sigh, this should help to keep your throat active.
