John woke up this morning angry, angry about life and everything it has to offer. He had not been on good terms with God for ages now. He was angry at God but grateful that at least today was Good Friday, a holiday, so he doesn't have to go for lectures.
You can rarely blame him, his life was a huge ball of mess. The only good thing he could think of in his life was the fact that he is a 400 level student of the Department of Psychology in Obafemi Awolowo University, every other thing was wrong. He lost his dad when he was four, lost his elder brother July last year. His only living sibling is Julia and her life was another sad story. Julia was diagnosed with
Myelomeningocele at birth, which means she lacks neuromuscular control of her body, she was diagnosed with Scoliosis at the age of one and had been confined to a wheel chair ever since, she will turn twenty one next month, twenty one years of unanswered prayers. Yes! His mother had been praying, praying that God would heal Julia and that He would touch John's heart but instead God had chosen to take away his father, brother and did absolutely nothing about Julia. So, what's so good about Good Friday?
There are so many people like John in our world today, maybe you are even one of them. This is the message God wants me to pass across to you, GOD IS GOOD. Everything was good at creation, if you have an ugly situation in your life right now, don't waste your time fighting your creator. Attack the real enemy, the devil, who always likes to be hidden. But there is a Battle Plan, James 4:7, "Surrender to God! Resist the devil, and he will run from you". If you want the enemy to flee from you, surrender to God First. I can't wait to hear your testimony, Jesus Cares Always.
