GOD HAS NOT FORGOT (post 2)

Their eyes met and it seemed as if the whole world stood still. As if they were the only ones in the auditorium, they held each other's gaze for a few seconds which seemed to them both like eternity before she finally shifted her gaze down to her feet and then quite in an instant bringing it back up with a shy smile plastered on her face. "Hi" she said, he responded the same way moving closer to her, a little girl tagging behind him. When he was a few metres away from her, she greeted him properly, they shook hands while he started introducing himself. His name was Desire and he had brought his niece, Abigail, to the church for her choreography rehearsal. The girl's mother had been busy and had asked
Desire to help her drop Aby off at the church since he was going along that way. He explained that he had entered the chapel because all the way down, Aby couldn't stop being excited about the rehearsal and their teacher, in fact, she had insisted on him entering the church and meeting this 'awesome' teacher.
Dorothy couldn't help smiling at Desire's explanation, her shyness from earlier gone. She stifled a laugh and introduced herself also, explaining that she had volunteered to teach the children choreography in preparation for the forthcoming church convention. The children coordinator had to travel for a while and besides her Saturdays were free, she could as well use it for God and what's more, she loved children and their whims. Most of the children had fallen in love with her from the first Saturday she started taking them, so Abigail's behaviour didn't amaze her. What amazed her was the man standing right in front of her, not so much about his tallness, handsomeness or his "six packs" but it was the connection, she couldn't explain the connection that took place few minutes ago, when he was just entering through the door, when their eyes met.
Desire couldn't explain it too. He felt at first as if he knew her from some where but no! The connection was deeper. (To be continued)
"When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream" Psalms 126 verse 1.
NB- "Desire" is a Yoruba name which when pronounced in full means "one who came into goodness or wealth", hope you didn't think it was the English word " desire", lol. Thanks for reading again.
